Sitka Spruce Top on Sapele Body in Grand Auditorium Style
The Grand Auditorium body style is a staple of Taylor's acoustic lineup. Affording full-bodied strength and resonance, the design is popular with guitarists looking for that full sound when they strum or pick. This 314e features the Grand Auditorium style body carved from sapele. A tonewood known for its consistency across the sonic spectrum, sapele is good for many different styles, as it maintains a bright treble. Sitka spruce was selected for the soundboard of this guitar, thanks to its dynamic tone, which much like its sapele base, accommodates numerous and versatile playing styles.
Taylor's Revolutionary V-Class Bracing
A true Taylor innovation, Bob Taylor and master craftsman Andy Powers over in El Cajon, California decided it was time to update the bracing of their high-end acoustics. Toeing the delicate line of flexibility and stability, Taylor's revolutionary V-Class bracing system increases sustain and volume by focusing the guitar's vibrations. This allows the top to flex in the ways it needs to achieve powerful volume, while maintaining stiffness in the middle of the guitar for excellent sustain. The outcome is revolutionary sound quality. Not to mention, this world-class, exclusive bracing system allows for superior intonation.
Groundbreaking ES2 Electronics
The 314e also features another Taylor innovation, this time in electronics. The Expression System 2 was designed and built by Taylor specifically to capture all the beautiful acoustic sound their guitars put out. Situated behind the saddle, this pickup boasts three uniquely positioned sensors to apprehend a dynamic range of sound like never before. You can tweak this sonic luxury via the ES2 preamp, with onboard volume, treble, and bass controls.

This instrument is in excellent, near mint condition. The techs found no other flaws or issues and it has little to no play wear. It looks, plays and sounds great! Please see pictures for overall condition of the guitar. The actual item for sale is shown in the photographs.

These guitars are sent directly from the manufacturer to the authorized refurbishing center where they are fully inspected, set up and cleared by a certified technician. The guitars serial number may be partially altered and/or replaced and the back of the headstock is lightly stamped "used" by the authorized refurbishing center per manufacturer agreements.
