The Classic Vibe™ Active ’70s Jazz Bass® draws its inspiration from the infamous basses that defined the funky tones of the 1970s, adding an onboard preamp for the ultimate combination of vintage looks and modern performance. Powering this Squier® groove machine is a pair of Fender Designed™ alnico Noiseless™ J Bass® pickups for punchy hum-free signal. The 9-volt preamp provides controls for volume, pickup blend, treble and bass boost, and a toggle to switch between active and passive for complete tone-shaping control. Other details include a HiMass™ bridge for optimal resonance, a striking bound fingerboard with block inlays, rich-looking nickel-plated hardware and a slick vintage-tinted gloss neck finish for an old-school vibe.

Condition:

This instrument is in excellent, near mint condition. It had a repair at the end of the fretboard that left a visable flaw but is re clear-coated and buffed smooth (see pics) The techs found no other issues and it has little to no play wear. It looks, plays and sounds great! It still has protective cellophane on the pick-guard. Please see pictures for overall condition of the guitar. The actual item for sale is shown in the photographs.

These guitars are sent directly from the manufacturer to the authorized refurbishing center where they are fully inspected, set up and cleared by a certified technician. They are sent there for many reasons, including: returns, cosmetic flaws, minor repairs, surplus & discontinued or last years models. The guitars serial number may be partially altered and/or replaced and the back of the headstock is lightly stamped "used" by the authorized refurbishing center per manufacturer agreements.
