Description & Specs

he 1957 SJ-200 Reissue is the product of a collaborative effort between Epiphone and the Gibson Custom Shop, paying homage to the magnificent ’57 model emblematic of the guitar’s “King of the Flat Tops” title. Thermally aged solid Sitka spruce sits atop a bright, clear body of solid figured maple, set with a gorgeous 2-piece flame maple neck shaved to a universally wieldable C profile. Playing a gig or tracking a tune? The onboard LR Baggs Element Bronze VTC electronics system flawlessly amplifies the guitar’s incredible natural tone, whether in the studio or on the stage. Channeling the handsome curb appeal of the original instrument, the 1957 SJ-200 Reissue comes studded with all the appointments you’re wishing for, from its Crown inlays and ornate pickguard artwork to the Mustache bridge and Epiphone Deluxe keystone-style tuners. It has all the cherished tone, premium build quality, and functional flair that enthusiasts of the original have adored for years. But this time, it’s priced for all guitarists to enjoy!
