Description & Specs

The AC70Hce is a versatile classical guitar constructed in the traditional sense with fan-style bracing for clarity and balance across all six strings. It’s a hybrid—a modern instrument bridging the gap between steel string and nylon string guitars.

The 70Hce is joined at the 14th fret, unlike a traditional classical guitar which is joined at the 12th, making this feel more familiar to steel-string players. It features a narrower nut width than standard classical guitars and has a radiused fingerguard, rather than flat.
All carefully considered details culminate in less of a departure from steel string familiarity for those players looking for a nylon string sound.

The contrast between Sitka and Rosewood creates a classic, sophisticated aesthetic with excellent tonal qualities. Where our Cedar top classical guitars offer a slightly warmer voicing suited to the lighter touch, Sitka delivers a robust, more precise cut that can respond to a heavier attack for volume where needed.

The AC70Hce features a slim bevel armrest for a more comfortable playing experience while adding a stylish custom vibe to this model.

The AC70Hce is fitted with the LR Baggs StagePro Bronze. The StagePro Bronze is a small-footprint side-mounted EQ incorporating the renowned LR Baggs Element under-saddle pickup. This is a low-profile unit with a large backlit tuner, volume, bass and treble controls and phase. The battery box is built into the end pin jack compartment for easy access with a simple push to open and change batteries.
