The Starfire IV ST Flamed Maple puts a modern twist on a highly popular semi-hollow Guild classic. With its graceful double cutaway and thinline body, the original Starfire IV was prized by many guitarists from the mid-1960s onward for its incomparable tone and feel.
Premium features include an all flamed maple body, a solid maple center block, rosewood fingerboard, and Guilds hallmark mahogany neck with maple center seam. This model features a tune-o-matic bridge, with a stopbar tailpiece for increased sustain and stability. The Starfire IV ST Flamed Maple includes dual LB-1 Little Bucker pickups, replicas of Guilds original smaller size humbucking pickups. Includes hardshell case.
Other premium features include parallel tone bar bracing, bound three-piece mahogany/maple/mahogany neck with vintage-style "soft U" profile, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with 9 1/2" radius and aged pearloid block inlays, three-way pickup selector switch and individual volume and tone controls for each pickup, Tune-O-Matic bridge with rosewood base, Guild vibrato tailpiece, Grover Sta-Tite tuning machines, nickel hardware and a stunning Antique Sunburst gloss finish with gloss Walnut Stain back and sides. The authorized technician found no issues with the guitar. It has no flaws or repairs noted. This guitar does not have a "used" or "2nd" stamp and it still has its original Serial Numbers.
