Gretsch G9420 Broadkaster “Supreme” 5 String Banjo

The G9420 Broadkaster “Supreme” features a Remo Renaissance banjo head with a rim crafted from three-ply solid Maple with flame Maple resonator back and a brass “MT” tone ring to deliver that classic twang that Gretsch banjos have been known for. The body is is bound by Ivory with an elegant black purfling and is finished in a luxurious shaded Amber Maple gloss urethane which caters to the top shelf aesthetics of the G9420. The 3-Piece Maple/Walnut/Maple neck is carved into a comfortable, vintage soft “U” shape, and is topped with an 22 fret Wood fingerboard with vintage-style inlays. The vintage B&D position inlays featured on the fingerboard are reminiscent of the orignal Broadkaster from the early 1900s, giving this banjo a classic vibe without the vintage pricetag.

The G9420 Broadkaster “Supreme” boasts nickel-plated hardware including geared planetary tuning machines, a vintage clamshell tailpiece, an engraved armrest and 24 tension brackets.
