Description & Specs

As guitarist, vocalist and songwriter for avant-metal group Gojira, Joe Duplantier has always chased the beauty in extremes. Charvel honors that pursuit with the Joe Duplantier Signature Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 2 HH E Mahogany electric guitar, a distinctively elegant and ferocious signature model worthy of one of the paramount acts in contemporary metal.

Designed with the latest in Charvel high performance, the Signature Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 2 HH E Mahogany captures Joe Duplantier's preferred style and specs, including all-new pickups. A big fan of DiMarzio’s PAF 36th Anniversary neck pickup, Duplantier sought to pair that choice with a more robust low end from his bridge pickup. Released for the first time with this guitar, the Joe Duplantier signature DiMarzio Fortitude humbucking bridge pickup completely responds to his needs — from crushing, heavy riffs to beautiful open soundscapes and everything in between. Combined with the PAF, these pickups deliver vintage tone with a twist.
